Whitingham - Halifax Lions Club

Lions Clubs empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding. The Lions are the global leader in community and humanitarian service with 1.25 million members in over 200 countries worldwide. The local Lions club serves Deerfield Valley Vermont.

Town Hill Committee

The Town Hill Committee meets as needed to address concerns/upkeep at Town Hill Park. For information contact Keith Bronson at (802) 368-2331.

Homemaker Demonstrations (Home Dem)

The Homemaker Demonstrations group meets on the third Wednesday of each month in the Municipal Center at noon to gather for lunch (bring a sandwich-dessert is provided). They run various programs, make Valentine boxes for shut-ins, make bibs for nursing homes, collect donations to food pantries and more. For more information contact Betty Witt at (802) 368-7765.

Whitingham Firemen's Association

The Whitingham Firemen's Association aims to save lives through monthly trainings for first responders. They meet at the Jacksonville Fire Department on the 3rd Monday of each month at 7pm. For more information contact the Fire Department at (802) 368-2900.

Whitingham Fire Department Ladies Auxillary

The Ladies Auxillary meets at the Whitingham Fire Department when the fire horn blasts to provide food and other needed items during major fires. They also assist in search and rescue operations, host a children's Christmas Party each year and raise funds for the Fire Department. Housing Rehabilitation Committee

The Housing Rehabilitation Committee is a consortium of the towns of Halifax, Marlboro and Whitingham. It's mission is to distribute funds in low-interest loans to income-eligible residents for a variety of rehabilitation projects, ranging from septic and well installations, heating and roofing to plumbing and electrical repairs and/or upgrades.
The Committee invites the residents of their three towns who may have a necessary rehabilitation project to apply to see if they meet eligibility guidelines. Applications are available from the Town Clerk in each town. Whitingham residents needing more information should contact Linda Donaghue at (802) 368-2313 or Don McKinley at (802) 368-2376.

Kitchen Committee

The Kitchen Committtee meets as needed in the Municipal Center kitchen to inspect, supervise and maintain the Municipal Center kitchen before and after community functions. Volunteers are always welcome. For more information contact Sherry Adams at (802) 368-7239 or Nancy Janovsky at (802) 368-7860.
