Whitingham-Halifax Lions Club

The Lions Club empowers volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding.  The Lions are the global leader in community and humanitarian service with 1.75 million members in over 200 countries worldwide.  The local Lions Club serves Deerfield Valley Vermont.

Ladies Benevolent Society

The Ladies Benevolent Society meets on the first and third Mondays of each month at 7pm at the Whitingham Community Church to raise money to help local towns people with fuel, electric and grocery assistance as needed.  They prepare meals for fellowships after funerals and collect items needed for the White Cross.  For more information contact Sherry Adams at (802) 368-7239 or JoAnn Brown at (802) 368-2663.

Whitingham Historical Society

The Whitingham Historical Society meets in the Municipal Center three times per year in April, July and October to run historical programs for the public.  The Museum, located in the center of Whitingham Village at Green Mountain Hall, is open Sundays from 2 to 4pm from July through September (or by appointment).  For more information contact Stella Stevens at (802) 368-2448.
