Civic Organization

This historic house offers peace, quiet, and night skies for 6 people. This property has ready access to: VAST trail system just across the meadow,  Mount Snow with golf and skiing, Harriman Reservoir for swimming, boating, and fishing, museums from Mass MOCA to the Clark Institute to Grandma Moses, local festivals, the Long Trail, and Green Mountain National Forest.  Dogs are welcome, but, please, not more than two.

Nestled in the mountains of Southern Vermont, the Candlelight is a beautifully restored 1850's farmhouse with all the modern ammenities.  We have four rooms, each with their own bathroom, air conditioning, and flat screen TVs.  We have wi-fi throughout the house.  We offer a full hot breakfast featuring eggs, any style, breakfast tortilla, pancakes or waffles anytime between 8-10am with coffee ready at 7:30am.  Prices range from $135 to $150 per night based on double occupancy.

Sawyer Mansion B&B is focused on providing you the most comfortable stay (for a full weekend for one flat rate) in one of our King Size Rooms.  Travel your way through China, France, Italy, Spain or South Africa by starting your journey on Friday, any time after 3pm.  Enjoy our hospitality till late on Sunday afternoon for $250 per room.  We offer a full continental breakfast where you can fill up on a variety of goodies.  We specialize in a good-morning smoothie that compliments the muffin of the day.

Stop and fill up your auto.  Come inside and visit our walk-in beer cooler.  Pick up some snacks or grocery items you need.  Have a cup of fresh brewed coffee and stay for a chat (coffee brewing throughout the day).  We're always happy to make new acquaintances.  We do auto repair as well - brakes - exhaust - tune-ups - oil changes - tire purchase and repair - etc.  We also carry Amzoil products.  Located on Route 112 in Jacksonville Village between Honora Outlet and Jacksonville Electric.  We are open 6am to 6pm 7 days a week.

Millie's Heritage Farm is a Family Owned Farm established in 2014.  Their goals are to keep livestock a part of the landscape and to make ethically raised healthy food available and affordable for all.  They work with their neighbors to revitalize and maintain pasture and hay lands across Whitingham, Wilmington and Halifax.  They breed, raise and sell calves to beef cooperative, the Adirondack Grazers.  They also sell frozen 100% grass fed beef, pasture raised pork, chicken and eggs to local businesses and direct to consumer.  For large, local orders they offer delivery.

Sailsmith Bags, LLC offers an assortment of custom bags and totes in canvas and nylon.  We can also repair items requiring heavy sewing as well as fabricate custom covers for boats, power equipment, grills, etc.

Specializing in antiques and collectibles in a beautiful Southern Vermont country setting.  Our products include furniture, china, metalware, clocks, crystal, artwork and stoneware.  We are very proud of our eclectic book and music room and encourage visitors to enjoy reading or listening to their heart's content to our inventory of over 1,000 books and over 2,000 vinyl albums.

The building that welcomes visitors to our shop has continually served the area as a country store since 1907.  In keeping with that tradition we offer locally produced raw natural honey, maple syrup and a variety of jams.  We have recently added coffee for sale by the pound roasted right here in Whitingham.
